Punjab vs Delhi Match Abandoned Due to Technical and Security Issues
The IPL match between Delhi Capitals and Punjab Super Kings at Dharamshala was abandoned due to technical issues with the floodlights, according to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). After 10.1 overs, one of the floodlight towers lost power, leaving only one functioning, which made it impossible to continue the match.
Meanwhile, IPL officials informed international media that the match was also called off as a security precaution in light of Pakistan's ongoing attacks in the Jammu region.
Before the interruption, Punjab had made an excellent start, scoring 122 runs for the loss of 1 wicket in 10.1 overs. Openers Priyans Arya and Prabhsimran Singh gave the team a strong foundation.
With the match being called off, Punjab remains in third place with 15 points from 11 matches, while Delhi sits fifth with 13 points from 11 matches. However, the final decision regarding the points for this match has yet to be announced.
