Sunrisers Hyderabad Crush Kolkata Knight Riders with Massive Victory

In the Indian Premier League (IPL), Sunrisers Hyderabad recorded a thumping win over Kolkata Knight Riders.

In the second match on Sunday, held at the Arun Jaitley Cricket Stadium in Delhi, Hyderabad defeated Kolkata by a huge margin of 110 runs.

Chasing a mammoth target of 279 runs, Kolkata was bowled out for 168 in 18.4 overs.

Manish Pandey top-scored for Kolkata with 37 runs off 23 balls, hitting 2 fours and 3 sixes. Harshit Rana contributed 34 runs from 21 balls with 2 fours and 3 sixes before getting dismissed.

Sunil Narine added 31 runs, while captain Ajinkya Rahane and Ramandeep Singh were dismissed for 15 and 13 runs, respectively.

For Hyderabad, Harsh Dubey, Ishan Maliga, and Jaydev Unadkat each claimed 3 wickets, playing a key role in dismantling Kolkata's batting lineup.

Henrich Klaasen's Century Powers Hyderabad to Record Total

Earlier, after winning the toss and opting to bat first, Sunrisers Hyderabad posted a massive total of 278 runs for the loss of just 3 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

Henrich Klaasen was the star of the show, smashing a brilliant century. He remained unbeaten on 105 runs off just 39 balls, hitting 7 fours and 9 sixes in a stunning innings.

Opener Travis Head scored a quickfire 76 off 40 balls, including 6 fours and 6 sixes, while the other opener, Abhishek Sharma, added 32 runs from 16 balls with 4 boundaries and 2 sixes before getting out. Ishan Kishan contributed 29 runs off 20 balls, hitting 4 fours and 1 six.

For Kolkata, Sunil Narine took 2 wickets and Vaibhav Arora claimed 1.

With this dominant win, Sunrisers Hyderabad ended their season on a high note.
