Gujarat, RCB, and Punjab qualify for the playoffs

Gujarat Titans storm into playoffs with 10-wicket win; RCB and Punjab also qualify

Gujarat Titans have booked their place in the IPL playoffs with a dominant 10-wicket victory over Delhi Capitals. Chasing a daunting target of 200 runs, Gujarat reached the target in just 19 overs without losing a single wicket, thanks to a brilliant opening partnership between Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan.

Gill remained unbeaten on 108 off 61 balls, smashing 12 fours and 4 sixes, while Sudharsan supported him perfectly with 93* off 53 deliveries. Delhi’s bowlers failed to break the opening stand, resulting in a completely one-sided game.

Earlier, after winning the toss, Gujarat put Delhi in to bat at Arun Jaitley Stadium. Delhi posted 199/3 in their 20 overs. Faf du Plessis fell early for 5, but KL Rahul and Abishek Porel built a strong 90-run stand for the second wicket. Abishek was dismissed for 30, and Axar Patel added 25 before falling.

KL Rahul anchored the innings with a stunning unbeaten 112 off 60 balls, hitting 12 fours and 4 sixes. Tristan Stubbs also remained not out on 21. For Gujarat, Arshad Khan, Prasidh Krishna, and Sai Kishore took one wicket each.

With this emphatic win, Gujarat climbed to the top of the points table with 18 points and secured their playoff berth. RCB and Punjab, both with 17 points, also qualified for the playoffs.

Now, one playoff spot remains, with Delhi (13 points), Mumbai (14 points), and Lucknow (10 points from 10 matches) still in contention.
