RCB secured a comfortable win over Rajasthan.


Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) registered a comfortable victory in the Indian Premier League (IPL) today.

RCB climbed to third place on the points table after defeating Rajasthan Royals (RR) by 9 wickets.

Chasing a target of 174 runs, RCB reached victory with 15 balls to spare, losing only one wicket.

Openers Phil Salt and Virat Kohli laid the foundation for the win with a 92-run partnership for the first wicket. Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal then put together an unbeaten 83-run stand for the second wicket.

Salt scored a team-high 65 runs off just 33 balls, hitting 5 fours and 6 sixes. Kohli contributed 62 runs from 45 balls with 4 fours and 2 sixes.

Padikkal added 40 runs from 28 deliveries, including 5 fours and 1 six. Kumar Kartikeya took the only wicket for RR.

Earlier, after losing the toss and being invited to bat first, RR posted 173 runs for the loss of 4 wickets, thanks to a half-century from Yashasvi Jaiswal.

Jaiswal scored 75 runs off 47 balls, hitting 10 fours and 2 sixes. Sanju Samson contributed 15 runs, Riyan Parag added 30, and Dhruv Jurel chipped in with 35 runs.

For RCB, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Yash Dayal, Josh Hazlewood, and Krunal Pandya each took one wicket.

With this being their fourth win in six matches, RCB moved up to third place with 8 points. Meanwhile, RR, with 4 points from the same number of matches, sits at seventh on the table.
