Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have climbed to the top of the Indian Premier League (IPL) points table.

RCB moved to the top after defeating Delhi Capitals by 6 wickets today.

Chasing a target of 163 runs, RCB reached the target in 18.3 overs, losing just 4 wickets.

RCB had a poor start, losing 3 wickets for just 26 runs.
Opener Jacob Bethell was dismissed for 12 runs, while Devdutt Padikkal was out for a duck (0 runs) off Axar Patel’s bowling, and captain Rajat Patidar was run out for 6 runs.

However, Virat Kohli and Krunal Pandya then built a strong 119-run partnership for the fourth wicket, laying the foundation for victory.
Virat was dismissed after scoring 51 runs.

Krunal remained unbeaten on 73 runs, facing 47 balls and hitting 5 fours and 4 sixes, leading RCB to a comfortable win.
In bowling, Axar Patel took 2 wickets for Delhi.

Earlier, at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, RCB had won the toss and elected to field first.
Delhi struggled throughout their innings and never managed to build a big partnership.
They posted a total of 162 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in their allotted 20 overs.

Opener Abhishek Porel was dismissed for 28 runs, and Karun Nair got out for just 4 runs.
Delhi could only manage 44 runs for the loss of 2 wickets at that stage.

Another opener, Faf du Plessis, was dismissed for 22 runs, while captain Axar Patel made 15 runs, and KL Rahul contributed 41 runs before getting out.
Shortly after, Ashutosh Sharma was dismissed for just 2 runs, and Delhi reached 120 runs for the loss of 6 wickets.

Following that, Mitchell Starc was out for a duck (0 runs).
Tristan Stubbs played a quick cameo, scoring 34 runs off 18 balls.

In bowling, Josh Hazlewood took 2 wickets, while Bhuvneshwar Kumar claimed 3 wickets for RCB.

With this win, RCB climbed to the top of the points table, securing 14 points from 10 matches.
Second-placed Gujarat has played 2 games fewer than RCB.
Delhi, after 9 matches, has 12 points.
