Rajasthan secured their first win in the Indian Premier League (IPL) with a convincing performance.

Rajasthan Royals secured their first victory in the Indian Premier League (IPL) by defeating Chennai Super Kings by 6 runs.

Chasing a target of 183 runs, Chennai Super Kings were restricted to 176 runs in 20 overs, losing 6 wickets.

Opener Rachin Ravindra was dismissed without scoring. For the second wicket, Rahul Tripathi scored 23 runs, and Dhivam Dubey made 18 runs before both were sent back to the pavilion.

Chennai struggled with a poor start, losing 3 wickets for just 72 runs. Vijay Shankar followed soon after, dismissed for 9 runs.

Captain Ruturaj Gaikwad held the innings together, scoring a quick half-century. He made 63 runs off 44 balls, including 7 fours and 1 six, but was dismissed shortly thereafter, leaving Chennai's hopes of victory fading.

Ravindra Jadeja remained unbeaten on 32, but it was not enough to secure the win for Chennai. Mahendra Singh Dhoni contributed 16 runs.

In the bowling department, Wanindu Hasaranga was the standout performer, taking 4 wickets in his 4-over spell.

Earlier, Chennai won the toss and invited Rajasthan to bat. Rajasthan posted a total of 182 runs, losing 9 wickets in their 20 overs.

After losing opener Yashasvi Jaiswal for just 5 runs, Rajasthan Royals were steadied by another opener, Sanju Samson, and Nitin Rana, who put on a solid partnership of 82 runs for the second wicket. Samson contributed 20 runs off 16 balls, hitting 1 six and 1 four.

Nitin Rana was the standout performer, scoring 81 runs off 36 balls, which included 10 fours and 5 sixes. He formed a partnership of 38 runs with captain Riyan Parag for the third wicket. Parag scored 37 runs off 28 balls, hitting 2 sixes and 1 four.

Shimron Hetmyer made 19 runs, while other batters failed to reach double digits.

For Chennai, Khaleel Ahmed, Noor Ahmad, and Mathisa Pathirana all took 2 wickets each, while Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja claimed 1 wicket each.

With this win, Rajasthan secured their first victory in the tournament, earning 2 points from 3 matches. Chennai, on the other hand, suffered their second consecutive defeat and also has 2 points from 3 matches.
