Mumbai Indians defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad in their recent match.


Mumbai Indians secured their third victory in the Nepal Super League (IPL) by defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad by 4 wickets.

Mumbai Indians successfully chased down a target of 163 runs, winning by 4 wickets in 18.1 overs.

Openers Rohit Sharma (26 runs) and Ryan Rickelton (31 runs) were dismissed early, followed by Suryakumar Yadav (26 runs) and Will Jacks (36 runs), leaving Mumbai at 128 for 4 wickets.

The match reached a tie, and with just 1 run needed to win, Mumbai lost 2 wickets in the 18th over. Hardik Pandya was dismissed for 21 runs, and Naman Dheer remained not out without scoring. However, Tilak Varma's unbeaten 21 runs helped Mumbai secure the win with 11 balls to spare.

In bowling, Pat Cummins was the standout, taking 3 wickets for 26 runs in 4 overs.

Earlier, Mumbai opted to field after winning the toss. Sunrisers Hyderabad scored 162/5 in their 20 overs.

Abhishek Sharma (40 runs off 28 balls) and Travis Head (28 runs off 29 balls) put up a 59-run partnership for the first wicket, but Hyderabad lost wickets regularly after that. Ishan Kishan (2 runs), Travis Head, Nitish Kumar Reddy (19 runs), and Heinrich Klaasen (37 runs) all fell, while Ankit Verma remained unbeaten on 18.

For Mumbai, Will Jacks was the most effective bowler, claiming 3 wickets for 14 runs in 3 overs. Trent Boult, Jasprit Bumrah, and Hardik Pandya each took 1 wicket.

With this win, Mumbai climbed to 7th place in the points table with 6 points from 7 matches. Hyderabad, on the other hand, suffered their 5th loss and remains in 9th place with 4 points from 7 matches.
