Gujarat faced a defeat against Lucknow.


Lucknow Super Giants defeated Gujarat Titans by 5 wickets in today's Indian Premier League (IPL) match.

Chasing a moderate target of 181 runs, Lucknow successfully reached the total with 3 balls to spare, losing just 4 wickets in the process.

Aiden Markram and Nicholas Pooran led the charge with brilliant half-centuries. Markram scored 58 runs off 31 balls, smashing 9 fours and a six. Pooran was the top scorer, hammering 61 runs off 34 balls, which included 7 sixes and a four.

Ayush Badoni remained unbeaten on 28 off 20 balls with 2 fours and a six, while captain Rishabh Pant contributed 21 runs.

Earlier, in the match held at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow, the hosts won the toss and opted to bowl first.

For Gujarat, openers and half-centurions Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan gave a solid start with a 120-run partnership for the first wicket. However, the rest of the batting lineup failed to capitalize.

Gill top-scored with 60 runs off 38 balls, hitting 6 fours and a six, while Sudharsan made 56 runs from 37 balls with 7 fours and a six. Jos Buttler scored 16, Sherfane Rutherford added 22, and Mohammad Shahrukh Khan contributed 11 runs.

For Lucknow, Shardul Thakur and Ravi Bishnoi took 2 wickets each, while Digvijay Rathore and Avesh Khan chipped in with one wicket apiece.
